Cinematic Parody Trailers; Resident Evil and Jurassic World

Posted on

When the first official teaser trailer for Jurassic World was released the community manager for Capcom UK issued a challenge; can anyone create a parody trailer of it with Dino Crisis. Naturally i accepted the challenge, and within the space of a few hours i created the the teaser trailer.

Dino Crisis / Jurassic World Parody Teaser Trailer:

Of course it proved to be quite popular among fans of the Dino Crisis franchise; and when Universal Pictures released the official trailer a few days later i had to respond by throwing together my own parody version of it – which interestingly, albeit with a few minor issues, worked out quite well.

Dino Crisis/ Jurassic World Parody Cinematic Trailer:

As you could imagine i was enjoying myself creating these ‘parody’ versions of cinematic trailers; so i decided to go back and look at one of my all-time favourite Capcom franchises; Resident Evil. In this instance there was no challenge by Capcom or its community, it was just a fun attempt to see what i could do and the end result was me using audio from the official Resident Evil: Apocolypse trailer and using footage from the original Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 videogames; the end result was quite entertaining.

Resident Evil: Apocalypse Cinematic Parody Trailer:

These videos are all-up on youtube, and have been for sometime, although while they have achieved a few thousand views between them they are not monetised – it’s all for fun and entertainment. If you like these videos then feel free to check out my Youtube Channel, and maybe even subscribe to it, for more awesome content.

2014: A Round-Up of Games Completed within the Year

Posted on

At the start of 2014 I setup a new page on this blog entitled “List of Games Completed” whereby i would list all of the games that i had completed throughout the year; well seeing as 2014 has come to a close, and 2015 has just begun, i thought I’d post the full list for everyone to see on the main page and start all over again.

As mentioned these ‘completed games’ only relate to the main campaign (or its story); however if i did obtain all of the achievements (or collectables) then i would have made a note at the side of the game.

Anyway here is the full list of titles that i managed to complete throughout 2014: Read the rest of this entry »

Getting the Best out of the Mario Kart 8 Bonus Game Promotion

Posted on Updated on

In this time of difficulty; whereby game prices are ever increasing, we have to be very frugal and savy with our money; but if you’re like me you can’t simply ignore a good offer then there is no reason you should’nt take advantage of it. Case and point the Mario Kart 8 Bonus Game Promotion and all of the pre-order incentives that followed.

Lets rewind; shortly after Mario Kart 8 became available to pre-order Nintendo announced a ‘Bonus Game Promotion‘, whereby upon redeeming the Club Nintendo Code inside the Mario Kart 8 case customers would be able to request a download of an additional Wii U game. As part of this offer titles included New Super Mario Bros U, Sonic Lost World and Legend of Zelda: WindWaker HD, each of which still retailed at around £34.99 to £44.99.

What’s interesting is that this offer was available in conjunction with ‘any other’ retail offers, such ShopTo who were giving away a T-Shirt and GAME who were giving away a Mario Kart 8 branded Wii Wheel and Wii U Starter Pack. In Short everyone was doing amazing offers; but being on a tight budget i wasn’t sure which one to go for and thats when i devised my cunning plan. Read the rest of this entry »

A Closer look at the Transformers: Human Alliance Arcade Game

Posted on Updated on

transformers_human_alliance_logoEver since SEGA Amusements revealed that they were working on an arcade videogame adaptation of the Transformers franchise I’ve eagerly been waiting to get my hands on it, not just because i’m a ‘massive’ Transformers fan but because I highly enjoy arcade shooters, as some of you will already know.

Anyway several months (years) later the arcade game, Transformers: Human Alliance, is now publically available within the UK and I managed to find one at the Planet Fun Amusement Centre in Ingoldmells, near Skegness – and more importantly it is the Deluxe version – with that aside what were my impressions of it? Introduction To The World of Thief – The Parody Version

Last week Square Enix began streaming a new gameplay trailer Thief, a new multi-format first person adventure game based upon the original ‘Thief’ franchise. This particular trailer acted as an ‘introduction’ by showing the various different locations and abilities within the game, thus giving you an idea of what to expect.

While the trailer was ‘informative’ it had the sense of Deja Vu and my friend Ash (@Delixe) knew why as it looked (and sound) like the introduction to Burnout Paradise, and so with some video editing skills I merged the introductory audio from Burnout Paradise with The Thief 101 Trailer to create “Thief – 101 Parody Trailer”.

The Return of Shadow The Hedgehog

Posted on

Seven years ago I threw together a Shadow The Hedgehog inspired Game Music Video (GMV), whereby the video contained clips featuring Shadow from various Sonic games and the background music being Shadow’s iconic theme song, All Hail Shadow.

Since it’s initial debut the video has become insanely popular, with over 4.6 million views to date, and is usually no.1 in any All Hail Shadow search result on Youtube. Anyway since the fans demanded it (And because the quality was rather poor) I have released a High Definition version of it, featuring new HD Scenes, some new gameplay and minor alterations – and just like its predecessor this one is slowly becoming popular as well…..

…so yea, its the return of Shadow The Hedgehog!

Pokemon X / Y Contains a Special Birthday Message

Posted on Updated on

File this under slightly old, especially if you have already witnessed it, but if you visit a Pokémon Centre in Pokémon X or Pokémon Y on your birthday then a special “Happy Birthday” message will appear along with special music and fireworks.

It’s a nice touch, so its well worth experiencing it for yourself when its your birthday. I can only assume similar messages will appear at Christmas and new year, but obviously only time well tell. You can check out the “Birthday Surprise” video below.
